Our History
Helping people protect, grow, and, keep more of what they earn runs in my family. Although HL Thornton Sr. & Jr. have passed away, I am proud to carry on their legacy of helping people make their money work toward what they value most. The legacy they passed on to me began in 1920 when my grandfather, Homer Lee Thornton, Sr. moved to Graham, TX after serving in the U.S. Navy from WW I (1917-1919) to start his insurance agency, HL Thornton Insurance. H. L. Thornton founded the Graham Federal Savings and Loan Association in October of 1934, serving as secretary for many years. He was associated with the business until his retirement in 1983. Now known as Graham Savings, it continues to serve Graham and the surrounding area of Young County, Texas.
My father, Homer Lee Thornton, Jr. followed my grandfather, as a military veteran, farm & rancher, Independent CPA and entrepreneur. H. L. Thornton, Jr, helped many people and businesses keep good records and make good financial decisions so his clients could know where they are, and where they may want to go, financially speaking.
I continue our family name and business legacy doing business as H. L. Thornton & Co ; operating by the core values of Integrity, Service, and Excellence. These core values lay the foundation to build relationships based on mutual trust. We help our clients with asset & income protection, wealth accumulation, retirement income & estate planning. Providing funds for extended periods of care is an important part of protecting your income and estate and legacy strategy. For many, education is a high priority value that may need funding for you or the next generation. Everyone's situation is unique, so together we develop customized solutions for you, your family, business, or family business. In this way we can all be in a better position to be generous with the blessings that come with having a plan in place toward financial security. If I may be of service to you, I can be reached at: (903) 818-0560 or via email: Lee@HLThornton.com .
Sincerely,
H. Lee Thornton, III
